Last month Joe & I were in Portland for the Specialty Coffee Association of America (SCAA) trade show event. It was my first time in PDX, so we took full advantage of that fact to do a Roaster & Brewery tour of downtown.
While on our travels, we just so happened to encounter some Service Ideas products in the field (which is always a bonus). One of our stops on our Roaster/Brewery tour was Caffè Umbria in the Pearl District.
Caffè Umbria has a great feel to it. Right away as we walked up to the counter I noticed that they were using some of the Stanley servers. Joe & I ordered our drinks (I got the Caffè Marocchino) and enjoyed the window of sunshine that we were afforded in their outdoor seating.
The next day when we went to set up the booth, we noticed that one of the roasters that was featuring their coffee at the entrance of the show was also using the Stanley® Creamer at their table.
Later that day, during one of my walks of the show floor I noticed that a neighboring booth was using some of our products to compliment their coffee service. Pretty cool if you ask me.
But wait, there’s more! Our hotel, the Doubletree Portland, just so happened to be using Service Ideas products during their buffet & breakfast in the main restaurant.
We were able to use the SJ SteelVac™ carafe to pour ourselves coffee, and I used the new crested 98206 server to put syrup on my waffles during one of our breakfast visits.
Can you spot a Service Idea? Next time you’re out and about, take a look around. If you see one of our products in use, snap a pic and send it to us. Even better, take a picture of yourself with our product. We’d love to hear where you saw us.
