We at Service Ideas like to give back to our community, and one way that we recently started giving back is by sponsoring entries in races & events throughout the year for our employees. This is a smaller part of a new initiative that we have started for our company to promote “Healthy Habits,” like eating well, exercising and giving back to others.
A recent race that 4 of our employees took part in over the weekend was “The Color Run” — the Happiest 5K on the Planet. Over the course of a few hours, the Minnesota State Fairgrounds housed 20,000 runners & walkers. It was a truly crazy & wonderful event to take part in.
The Color Run takes place in various cities around the country, and in fact was also taking place in Omaha, Nebraska and San Francisco, California last weekend. That’s a lot of color!

For the Minnesota-leg of the Color Run, proceeds went to benefit one of our local charities: Open Your Heart to the Hungry and Homeless. It was great seeing so many people out and about to support such a great cause.
Below is a gallery of some of our photos from the race. You can read more about The Color Run and the charity it helped, Open Your Heart to the Hungry and Homeless, by clicking some of the links at the bottom of the post.
Will you join us next year? Or perhaps take part in a Color Run in your city? We hope to see you there!
